Manual Handling 
Who should attend?
All staff — as everyone undertakes some form of manual handling.
Course participants will learn:
To be aware of the dangers of manual handling and to put controls in place to minimise the risk of an injury.
Topics include:

Updates on current legislation

Provide information for Manual Handling safety

Identifying some common Manual Handling hazards in the workplace and home

Develop the skills required to be able to conduct risk assessments on Manual Handling

Establishing control measures to minimise Manual Handling injuries

Reducing the likelihood of injuries
Technology in Training:
Using technology provided by Xbox 360 Kinect motion cameras connected to a computer program designed by PARCOR our trainers can use with participants to show examples of correct and incorrect posture whilst doing manual handling tasks, such as lifting and bending.
Qualification
Non-Accredited — A certificate of attendance is awarded for this course
